We recently had the opportunity to talk with Los Angeles based folk, soul, & pop duo JOHNNYSWIM.  The philanthropic songbirds sat down with us for conversation and drinks at The Frying Pan, a boat bar & restaurant at Chelsea Pier in NYC.  While overlooking the Hudson River we discussed their music, causes they champion and what’s in the future for them.  We had a blast with this co-ed class act so read along and get a feel for what these two stand for. Bad Day by Chiddy Bang

Philadelphia based Alternative Hop-Hop group Chiddy Bang is back with a song about a genuinely bad breakup.  “Bad Day” is the first single from their upcoming album “The Preview” that features Pharrell & Q-Tip and  is set to drop in the U.S. on October 12th.

Interview With Sean “The Pen” Garrett

Though you may have heard of him only in recent years as a singer and rapper, Atlanta, Georgia native Sean Garrett has enjoyed being a songwriter and record producer behind the scenes as well.  Garrett, who has created #1 hits such as Beyoncé’s “Check On It,” Fergie’s “London Bridge,” Nelly’s “Grillz,” Chris Brown’s “Run It!,” Ciara’s “Goodies,” and Usher’s “Yeah!” has earned the nickname, “The Pen” and the fifth spot in Billboard’s list of producers with the most number one hits. 

Just The Way You Are (Remix) by Bruno Mars ft. Lupe Fiasco

This ain’t Billy Joel’s “Just The Way You Are”, it’s the first single by singer-songwriter Bruno Mars from his upcoming debut album Doo-Wops & Hooligans due out October 5th.  Bruno has been assisting rap acts like B.o.B. and Travie McCoy, but this go around, he enlists the rap talents of Lupe Fiasco to add some slick lyrics to the remix of Just The Way You Are.

XXXO by M.I.A. (Video)

You want her to be somebody that she’s really not?  Well too bad because M.I.A. doesn’t change!  Back with the official video for her new single “XXXO”, M.I.A. keeps us guessing. In the video, M.I.A. dances around in a technological dreamscape that reminds us of those sparkly Myspace comments.  Set to a super pop sound , the song is bound to pull you in before it is over.
